To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

2007-2017

Thank you for being a part of it.

Farewell,

James Miao & Samuel Hsiung

Just gotten a hold on a kickass recording of Red Lymes from the Clarkesville show, but we're a lowly level 1! Show us some love, get us up to level 2, and we'll upload it!

Promise it's worth it.

biography
The band members are: Rich Barnes on vocals and rhythm guitar, Zach Bradshaw on lead guitar and backup vocals, Bobby Finley on bass guitar and backup vocals, and Michael Small on drums. Some guy named Casey Smith does random stuff and eats the pizza they buy.

The 42 Heroes are a 4-piece alternative (what isn't these days?) rock band from Fluvanna County, VA. The Heroes as they are now only truly began in Michael's basement as a musical outlet for a motley crew of teenagers, and over the course of a year or two, developed into something of a healthy obsession. They've played a number of shows around central Virginia and have recorded a few of their songs, the most recent ones becoming the Jeff Scott Sessions.
