To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

2007-2017

Thank you for being a part of it.

Farewell,

6 Day Bender on Facebook

Born in the woods outside Charlottesville, Virginia, 4-piece band 6 Day Bender plays mountain rock ‘n’ roll: a genre-straddling blend of rock, blues and bluegrass that convincingly plants one foot on the front porch and the other in the garage.

The band’s second full-length album, E’ville Fuzz, released on Election Day to widespread acclaim. The title references the farmhouse in Earlysville, Virginia, where the band crafted the album’s thirteen songs, as well as the ‘fuzzier,’ more blues-oriented dimension the album explores.

The band’s recordings and raucous live shows have earned them such honors as a Dickies Clothing sponsorship; the title of ‘next big band from Charlottesville’ by The Hook, Charlottesville’s premier free weekly paper; and one of the ‘top five bands to watch south of the Mason-Dixon Line,’ by Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine.
