The melodies created by Berlin-based Alaska in Winter are relaxing and upbeat at the same time, providing a very unique and creative sound. Alaska in Winter’s sophomore album entitled Holiday was released in the U.S. November 18th, with a European release in January 2009. The album was written and recorded while Brandon Bethancourt was living in Berlin, Germany for 6 months, in between two headlining European tours. This album has a more electronic, up-tempo feel than his earlier works, but still incorporates acoustic elements and vocoder over electronic beats and synth.
