Zuba are a multi-cultural, multi-lingual testament to hope, humanity and the sheer joy of a good melody. Their Bassa Beat is a sound utterly unique in the field of world music, and has been decribed as "the most stunning mix of western and African music since Paul Simon's Graceland".

The Scottish based 6-piece band present their new album ALLEZ! awarded BEST AFRICAN ALBUM in the 2006 JUST PLAIN FOLKS AWARDS

The song 'TOMAYZIYI' got ZUBA in the TOP20 FINALISTS of the UNISONG contest (World/Reggae category) and an HONORABLE MENTION in the final of the INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION 2005 (World Music category).

"an infectious hybrid of influences which has earned Zuba critical acclaim and full dancefloors wherever they play"
John Dingwall

when I get home from donating my cat I'll do that. It'll be about an hour and 30 minutes.

also, 36 was my invite score. the one that's 200+ is my radio count :D
thanks!

nah I haven't. I've heard about 4 of them. I don't like to power house through any band for too long, or I get tired. that's what makes T61 so great for people like me! I'll be going through your stuff piece by piece :D

Yeah, I'm seeing that now (hearing it) as I get to listen to even more and more of your songs. But Manana definitely has the reggae feel. I give up trying to label though, I've found that my favorite music I never can really label anyway.

You don't need vast playlists filled with 500odd songs in as much different musical styles, if there's Zuba! It's the one-has-it-all-thing. And dreams are best in vivid technicolor ;-)
