"I'm just part of the first wave in the resurgence of old-fashioned craft-writing. We are not compelled by some corporate concept of slick, shiny success. We have a compulsion to create and we're more likely to die than quit," says Reynolds.
"This is like any other craft; it only becomes art when it becomes emotional. I can't help but be emotional. I think that kind of intentional vulnerability is missing right now. This can't be about success or money. There isn't a dollar amount that could give me the high that I get from creating."
