To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

Thank you for being a part of it.

Hi Zachary, thanks for the message. I'm sure if I knew you personally it would be obvious that you were being tongue and cheek with the old bio... but very good call with changing it! : ) I'm from Canada but have spent a couple weeks in SC on the ocean side (Hilton Head) a couple years ago. It's nice having a context for you now!

Yeah, keep the music but change the bio. Humility goes a long way.

I especially enjoy "A Couple Of Things", it could be an opening track to a moody foreign film (w/ subtitles). Friendly suggestion - Let your music speak for itself. Your bio/self-proclamation of being a "Music Messiah" makes you seem like a complete ass. It put me in a bad headspace to hear your tunes which is a shame, because they are lovely compositions. This sort of presentation doesn't do any justice to the music. There are many brilliant music minds out there - may your ego not ruin you.

Look Away, Love - is probably the most relaxing song I have ever heard. You're fantastic.

your music is good, but no need to be narcissistic. people have their own tastes and you should respect that.

Hey, thanks for the comment--I like Meddle too and that's why I picked up the vibe. Like your compositions.

This isn't elevator music. You don't know what elevator music is.

Wow, I sure wandered into a flame war here. I just wanted to ask if "Lonely as a Cloud" is a Wordsworth reference...

buhahah mackdaddy definitely has a point. but i think that maybe the director 'babyjanefilms' is more to blame.. melee beats clearly can't dance so why make him? :)

I'm having difficulty understanding why people who like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IP66wM0CrPs

are making fun of your music.

Hmm. Some of it might be a bit elevator musicky, but I will vouch for Too Fly. That's lovely. I don't think we're gonna hurt your feelings though, based on that bio!

ditto, i appreciate your abilities but your elevator music is tiring. have some respect for other artists. your opinion is just as subjective as anyone elses.

Hmm, your music is pretty chill. Run Frank Run is a very smooth tune. However, your attitude leaves something to be desired. Your music means nothing if people can't or won't hear it over your bombastic self appraisal and cocky comments... I will give you the fact that I had such a visceral reaction that i had to comment on it though... props?

You really seem quite confident, looking at your bio... But well, I have to admit, I like your music. Would be great if music like this gets wide spread.
