biography
I was born and raised in DERRY (spending the weekends at my dads in MANCHESTER) , NEW HAMPSHIRE, went to college at UNC-CHAPEL HILL. AND For the better part of 3 years I have lived in NYC trying to make it as a pianist/singer/songwriter. My day (and night) job was working at urban outfitters at 72nd & B'way, which was great...well kind of :) My music has started to get into the right hands at several record labels, which is great news. This is a very exciting time and I just hope that I can make as many new friends to share my music with as possible.

The Brendan James full length record is on the way but for right now check out my EP, "The Ballroom Break-In," produced by Mikal Blue (his discography includes the very talented Colbie Caillat, Jason Reeves, Augustana, and Five For Fighting). The EP is available on iTunes and it features 3 songs from my coming full length record! If you enjoy it, share with your friends...

Wow! I'm so glad sites like thesixtyone and AmieSt exist. So we all get to discover amazing talent like yourself. You are definitely going places, Brendan! I love your music. "Green" is my favorite, so far. But I have no doubt that I will have many favorites. I look forward to following your brilliant career. If you are ever back in NH, I hope I can buy you a beer! Thanks for giving us such great music!

Why isn't Early April Morning a massive world wide known song? Got me beat.... It's probably the best song i've heard on here.

This is gorgeous music.
Seriously.
The line "she's where I get my smile from" in Green made me immediately want more.
Seriously amazing music here.
