Code Anchor was born and bred in Commack, New York. Originally founded by the core songwriting duo of Dan Keller and Ryan Schiff, the band has gone through several transformations, leading to its current 5-man roster with bassist Bill Burns, drummer Scotty Zwang and lead singer Pete Scarlata.

Their goal from the start was to write and perform songs that are melodic, catchy, explosive, intelligent, dance-able and most of all... original. Code Anchor has an innumerable amount of influences, which encompass such genres as rock, jazz, punk, hip-hop, reggae, metal, funk, bossa nova, bluegrass, and, of course, video game music.

Gigging since 2003, Code Anchor has performed all over the east coast. They have released two EPs and just recently a full length album, available for order online and on iTunes. They are currently planning Spring '09 east coast tour.
