Island hopping since birth Equal was born in New Caledonia raised in the Solomon Islands for 12 years and now finds himself residing in the biggest island of them all - AUSTRALIA -

Inspired at a young age by a mirage of genres from reggae, pop, rnb and dance, Equal found his true musical calling when his older sister handed him a mixtape of 2Pac tracks. Admiration was instant.

Inspired by hip hop lyrics Equals schooling years were shaped by literary excellence. Deeply inspired by the written word he was able to work language into the art of musical expression. In his high school years the discovering of the South Korean Hip Hop group DRUNKEN TIGER, further inspired Equal to challenge the critics in his immediate area. With sounds described as the goodest of feel good to the solemnest of provocative thoughts, the kid just wanted to make you FEEL something for once.

But in this journey he did not travel alone. Behind the original cuts lies the works of his producer, friend and mentor, SOLOMON. Together they spread their brand of unique international Hip Hop - NO VISA NEEDED. Having worked with artists both local and those abroad (USA, JAPAN, IRELAND) these Emcees are not afraid to venture into waters unknown and create new connections.

Equal is now currently in the midst of taking his passion to the next level by promoting his music seriously with hopes to continue creating a life and name for himself.
