WHO IS DIRTY LINGO?

Mike Chapman and John Hayden remember listening to The Beatles at a young age and being inspired to make their own music. With Mike on rhythm guitar and John on bass, they soon realized how well their styles complement one another. After joining their high school choir, Mike and John began incorporating intricate melody lines and harmony in their music. After graduating high school and playing in a number of bands, Mike and John developed Dirty Lingo and teamed with drummer Adam Wolin.
Adam Wolin came from an extensive drumming background- growing up surrounded by music, playing since the age of 5, and received formal training from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, all of which led to his diverse technical abilities and great contribution to Dirty Lingo. Adam joined Mike and John in writing and performing, and were together discovered by local indie label, “Sedona Records”. Following the recording of their first album “Pleasant By Being Rude” the band continued touring throughout the Southwest and developed a great fan base.
The Trio then joined with Cellist/Harmony/Keyboards Mike Levin. The son of two Phoenix Symphony violinists, Levin received a classical musical education and developed a distinctive style playing cello, guitar, piano and bass. This gifted artist has won numerous competitions and scholarships and has performed with many artists-and thus, he completes Dirty Lingo by contributing the art of cello and keyboards to the mix! Together, Mike, John, Adam and Michael have recorded their new album “Junk Food Junkies ” which has been well received from Los Angeles to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where they played Summerfest 2009.

Together- Mike, John, Adam, and Michael’s combined talent and friendships are Dirty Lingo.
