To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

biography
Ben Dlugokecki (pronounced- Der-loo-go-ken-ski) is a prolific singer/songwriter based in Southampton, England. With a wide range of influences from Paul Simon and James Taylor through to modern acts such as Elbow and David Gray, his songs range from gentle Piano and Guitar based ballads to epic, emotional upbeat songs all with a broad appeal.

After recording 4 self produced albums at home, Ben came to the attention of producer/writer Neil Kerr. He signed a production deal with Off The Wharf Productions, a music production company co-owned by Neil and award-winning producer Mark Hill (Artful Dodger/Craig David). They completed two singles, mixed at London’s Metropolis studio, released March 1st 2005 on Cherrywood Records followed by an album of Studio Recordings called ‘Before The Storm’ in July 2006 mixed in the USA.

Ben reached the final 8 of the ‘Sennheiser Best Unsigned Artist 2004’ out of 2000 entries, played the 2005 ASCAP showcase at the London Barfly, had his music in the i-tunes music store, was named artist of the month on the ‘Musician’s Channel’ on Sky and had his debut music video played daily.
