To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

Thank you for being a part of it.

Double Blind will be coming out with the full version of Angel in Disguise including a haunting guitar and vocals. Also, we are working on two new tracks. Stay tuned!

Double Blind: a psychological term in which neither the individual being tested nor the researcher knows who is in the control or experiment group.

Michael Chan (guitars and electronic composition) and Gary Luk (vocals and electronic composition) make up the duo of the group Double Blind; both having a penchant for Hard Rock, New Wave, Post-Punk and Electronica. Heavily influenced by New Wave and 80's, Double Blind attempts to bring a fusion of deeply contemplative themes and soulful sounds that resound in the joy and tragedy of the human condition.

Thanks for the compliments. We are adding vocals soon as well as a very haunting distorted guitar. I guess our sound is like a hybrid between Depeche Mode with the themes and edginess of HIM. Again, than you for the compliments.
