I never really saw myself as a musician for a rather long time. Originally, I wanted to be an inventor -- come up with some of the next great scientific breakthroughs for mankind. This was until the 7th grade when I was forced to take music and discover my aptitude for the clarinet -- I was asked to join the exclusively grade 8 band.

For the next few years following I added another instrument to the list that I can play. Grade 8 it was the bass clarinet, alto sax in grade 9 and piano in grade 10.

It was also in grade 9 when I gained an appreciation for the art of composition when I attended a school concert and the concert band played a 20-minute montage of various John Williams themes.

I decided to try my own hand at writing music when my family bought an iMac G4 and I learned the basics behind using Garageband.

Today, I am majoring in music at the University of Ottawa. I co-write a lot of the instrumentals for a hip hop group called DMinor (signed under NC Recordz.) with Johnny Touch. I also write the soundtracks for the larger projects of Spot Light Productions -- an independent film company. Spot Light and NC Recordz are subsidiaries of Artistic Desire.
