Hello listeners! First off, thank you for supporting us--we feel like we've received a very warm welcome to this site. It's wonderful to see such a large group of people care so much about listening and commenting about new music.

Once again, I just wanted to let you all know that we will be uploading a new song. This time it will be at 8PM EASTERN on SUNDAY, JUNE 22ND (hopefully that's a better time for listeners in Europe). This one is called, "What You're After" and it's the song that got us into the top 20 (out of 2000 entrants from 88 different countries) of the BBC's "Next Big Thing" contest last year.

If you want a sneak peak at the song, please just message us back with your email and we'll send all our 44 songs to you straight away for free (gmail and yahoo are the best, but as long as you have a big inbox it's all good).

Much peace and many, many thanks,
Mark & Drew

SUBSCRIBER ALERT!

The sixty-one MEGA Upload Party Wake for Michael Paul Miller is set to go off from 7 to 8 pm Pacific Time on Thursday, May the 8th. With 61+ artists slated, it should average about one new tune per minute, and there will be additional uploads hours later due to late uploads. Check KosmikRay 's Wallzine listing of the 61 official artists for your favorite bands, and let your favs know they are welcome to "crash" it and upload then if they didn't get the word in time. Also, feel free to let anyone you tunebox with in on it, as it is open to ALL artists and ALL listeners.
Enjoy the music, as we celebrate for Mike...

***please post a copy of this notice on friends or subscribers walls...we need to get the word out.

'one joint too many' is infinitely superior to one too few, imho.

thank you, 'badge' is kinda special for us too, it arrived friday night, we uploaded it satuday, it's barely 48 hours old, and hundreds of people have listened.

there's an immediacy to that, not totally unlike a live performance.

honestly, it's inspiring, and gratifying, as artists, we couldn't have dreamed of a better venue than the sixtyone.

if lou reed, or kurt cobain were on t61 back in their dark dark moments, i bet they would have been all like 'hang on, before i slide this needle under my skin, gotta check the bumps, gotta post a new track, read the comments'

but, most likely, keith richards would be the same.

1. i think that song was discovered 11 days ago. the "posted" part only happens once the song gets enough bumps and reaches the homepage.

2. i think you'd have to take that up with nightwatch. this could be a problem if more artists incorrectly attribute their covers, so thanks for pointing this out.

3. a song becomes "revivable" after 1 month. sorry we don't have all of this updated in the faqs, the site is constantly evolving that it's been tricky keeping things updated.

4. you're welcome. :-) glad you and your wife found thesixtyone.
