Agness Twin was created by Lady E in 2004. It began as a collaboration of different artists with her as the main focus of the project. The styles of the songs range from, down tempo, shoe gaze, Americana and rock with ambient tones creating eclectic sounds. In 1998 Lady E began her music career in San Francisco and formed the band "Agness" who was played frequently on the college radio stations KUSF & KFJC. The music was experimental (Romeo & Juliet meets Pink Floyd). The name Agness stems from a true story of Lady E’s mother's twin "Agness" who died from the hives at only two months of age. She lives on through the music. In 2003 Lady E moved to LA and went solo thus creating "Agness Twin". She recorded, produced and engineered a cover of the Duran Duran song "Girls on Film" in 2005. {“The rare cover that's both a significant departure from the original and stellar in its own right”}..said by a subscriber on The sixtyone. In 2007 she worked with David J. of Bauhaus, & Love and Rockets, and Vinsantos, on the album "A Light Awake Inside". She is featured on the songs "After All", and "16 Seconds". She has worked with cellist Joyce Rooks who is featured on most of the songs on the album “Waiting for my Ghost", Agness Twin’s Debut album. Agness Twin’s live shows are a combination of Lady E’s custom made double neck electric 12 string & 6 string guitar creating pretty & ambient sounds to screaming distortions accompanied with loose but heavy drums. “Waiting for my Ghost” is an arrangement of dark ballads of lost love, triumph over tragedy, and alter egos. It takes you to a far away place and brings you right back. Ambient, dreamy, and catchy. Influences range from Blonde Redhead, Cocteau Twins, PJ Harvey, Breeders, & Throwing Muses ….& anything from the 4AD Label.
