Glenn Galen writes songs across a very wide range of styles, from jazz to rock to synthesizer-flavored folk, and even a country sound here and there.

Just when you think you have him pegged, he comes out with a song in a style that you never expected.

Glenn is an accomplished electric and acoustic guitarist, and he also plays synthesizer and bass. He performs most of the parts on his tracks.

He has performed in clubs and coffeehouses from Chicago to Minneapolis to Northern Arizona.

"Lyrics are very important to me," he says. "I came up in the Chicago folk scene where the best songs were almost literary works as far as developing an idea and painting vivid images."

That said, many of his songs are instrumentals. He always tries for engaging, tuneful melodies colored by unusually beautiful chord colors.
