Nathan Wagner dreamed of being in a band, but he claimed to have no musical skill whatsoever. He could write lyrics, and that was about it. He said he would call his band Government Cheese. So I took his lyrics, put them to music and that's how Government Cheese came to be!

'Mad Cheddar' was put together in 2003 on a 4-track cassette recorder.

'Cheese Across America' was the name for the second album, but it hasn't been completed yet.
