Gravel Guts is a band from a steel town in the north of Sweden called Kiruna. The band was formed in August 2007 by Jörgen Medman and Rickard Stålnacke. After two months the setup were completed when Roger Kostet and Johan Särkimukka joined the band.

The first gig was only a month later at a Halloween party in Kiruna. Despite their short existence, 5 original songs and a few covers were played. The simple straight-to-the-heart rock and energetic performance were really appreciated and quickly made the band a recognized name in their hometown.
In 2008 the band won an award for “Best rock act” at the Tusen Toner Awards in Kiruna.

For now the band is working on their debut album and has a solid catalogue of self-composed material in their stash. And Jörgen who writes the tunes have a lot more going on all the time.
