Biography

Justin Ringle moved to Portland, Oregon in 2004, and began to play open mics regularly under the moniker Horse Feathers. In 2005 Peter Broderick heard two songs that Justin had recorded in a friend’s basement, and proceeded to track Justin down via the internet. Shortly after that, the two started playing music together. For the most part, Justin writes the songs initially, and then Peter helps to arrange them with varying instrumentation. The resulting sound is music.

Hey you're fantastic! Wanna put more stuff up? Like "This Is What"?
Much appreciated!

I heard your music for the first time a few weeks ago and I love it. I can't stop listening to your latest album! Keep up the great work.

Hi and welcome to the61! Seriously love your first song!

Here's a few tips for the top:

Let the first one, two or three songs find fans and bumps before adding any more. That way the tracks don't compete with each other. Not every listeners is able or willing to bump every track because of the points cost, .so not having too many to choose from helps. (The upload limit for level 1 artists is three songs btw).

It may be tempting to add to the first three tracks right away when you reach the next level, but please don't (that may sound strange but it works!)

Once one or two have reached the homepage (patience may be needed on both sides) consider gradually adding add one more at a time.

Also, if you want you could consider opening a listener account to figure out how the site works from the other side so to speak.

Have fun and good luck!
