Named after the Flaming Lips song “The Abandoned Hospital Ship,” Hospital Ships is the solo project of Jordan Geiger, better known as the frontman for the equally Lips-loving band The Minus Story.

Distilling the quieter side of neo-psychedelic bands like Mercury Rev, Neutral Milk Hotel, and (of course) the Flaming Lips, Geiger adds in a seasoning of classic influences including Buddy Holly, the Zombies, and the Beach Boys to produce bedroom pop symphonies to relationships both failed and ongoing with friends, lovers, and pets.
