Hutson was formed in the winter of 2005 when long time friends Bryan Larson (vocals, guitar) and Ben Reese (Drums) invited Tony Collver (bass) to jam. As the band took up residence in a friends basement, the beginnings of their first EP started to take form. It wasn't long before the group was ready to share their work with the world, and so their first show was the following February. As time has gone on, the members of Hutson have made many friends in the local music scene and have been heavily influenced by Portland, current events, and our interactions with others. In the winter of 2008 Ben Reese unfortunately parted ways with Hutson, but his leaving made room for Andy Nelson to join the crew, and Hutson is tighter than ever.

On April 23rd, 2010, Hutson released the "Reland" EP to rave reviews in the local Portland scene.
Hutson is currently in the midst of touring in support of "Reland" and writing new songs for an upcoming full-length.
