If I had a million chocolate covered coins, I'd send them to you in a big, pink blanket and dump them on your lawn. Course in this heat, they'd probably melt into a sticky, gooey, chocolately river layered with gold tin foil. And you'd probably get mad and never bump my songs again.

Yep, I ride on and off road year-round. Usually do an Xmas off-road ride in the snow when I'm back home, even. I rode my friend's fixed gear (my first time on one) last month and scraped up the back of my leg in the nice shape of the pedal while trying to coast. Whoops! Lesson learned, and I'd still like to build one someday.

Very true. I've put nearly 300 miles on my bike in the last 10 months (since I moved and bought a fancy wireless cyclo-computer). I drive maybe once a week to meetings, other than that, it's walking and biking for me.

To/from work is .9 of a mile each way in downtown Baltimore, so it's nothing special there. But I try to get out to a park just south of the city once a weekend, if I can, to do 10ish miles of singletrack riding. I've been mountain-biking on and off for the last 10 or 12 years (since my Mtn. Bike Club days in High School). It's a decent way to stay in some kind of shape to counteract my sit-behind-a-computer-all-day desk job.
