Hey there,

You bumped "Say Yes" 12 times! I appreciate that. Thank you.

I won't be putting any new songs on here for a long time. I'm BEYOND maxed out with 21 songs. I will have to reach level 20 to put up anything new, and the highest rated artist is at level 17 right now. It's safe to say it's going to be a while.

Then again, 21 songs is a probably a lot to absorb. Should you choose to hear more, you can!

Thanks again for your support.

ROCK!

We’ve noticed that a lot of bands leave comments on stranger’s pages saying something like “Hey – you seem like a great person, we think you’d really like our music please check out our tunes.”

They send this message to everyone irrespective of their musical tastes with the hopes of getting sweet sweet bumps.

We’ve noticed that bands that take part in this fake friend advertising actually do get a lot of bumps and so…here we are.

Your Cunting Daughter’s music isn’t to everyone’s tastes so we’re giving you the gift of honestly by admitting our ploy up front. If you don’t approve please delete this message and drop by our page to call us a shower of bastards (and bump us!)

We love you!

You don't need me. Some ppl just pushed your latest discovery the homepage. Nice work.

btw, did you know that we support playlist persistence? start listening to a song on the radio page, your profile footprint, or one of your custom playlists. as i'm sure you've figured out already, you can then navigate to any page on the site while the song will continue uninterrupted. but what you didn't know is that the original playlist order is still persistent, so you can click on the prev/next button at the top and still navigate in the original order! also, click on the currently playing song title to jump right back to where you originally started listening to the song.

Hey, thanks for the question. The front page is basically user-driven radio controlled by the genre panel and the hot/new/all-time selector.

- "hot" is the default and uses a formula that takes into consideration bumps, recent activity, and post date (when it got 20 bumps and hit the homepage). it's a representation of what's hot on thesixtyone (this will become more and more dynamic as we get more users/songs).

- "new" is simply based on the chronological order of songs that have reached the homepage.

- "all-time" is what you were referring to in your post: a simple list of the all-time hits on thesixtyone descending by bump count.

let me know if you have any more questions. thanks again ben for being helpful!

you're forgetting this is a Private Preview...a limited user test. Hitting 50 bumps won't be a problem once we open to the public. "discovering" songs won't be as easy as it is now once there's more people online.

take a good look at those 124 points you got. because they might accidentally fall off a truck and find their way into siko's hands.

yeah, there are feature unlocks you can achieve with leveling up. the first one that we've implemented was multi-bumping, which i described below. there's going to pretty much be at least one unlock per level, but none of these have made it out yet. stay tuned...

james (level 20) wrote:
at 07 Oct 07 09:53pm
ben, we released the first iteration of multi-bumping. it's an unlockable feature after users hit level 2, and it allows you to bump a song more than once. it's a little rough around the edges at the moment, but go ahead and try it out. spend those points!

james (level 20) wrote:

btw, your song status has been sitting on "this is not a bruise" for the last few days. just thought you should know!

Cool. I'm glad you guys are enjoying it. Look out for new developments every week. It's going to be magical.

james (level 20) wrote:

which songs? there's no official feature (nor plans for one), but I'll look into it, provided that nobody has bumped your discovers. if it's tyler/rob, we'll just wipe it...just remember to log out!
