Lauren fell in love with Rock music young, learning guitar at thirteen. Within just twenty-four hours of striking her first power chord, she began writing songs. Now, after years of performing, writing hundreds of original songs, and releasing an award-winning debut, Lauren brings us her sophomore album, YOU DON’T KNOW ME. The intensely personal LP features all original music, ranging from danceable Power Pop to intimate electronic Rock ballads. Both self-released and self-produced, the album’s Spring CD Release Party will be Lauren’s 100th performance.
Appearing frequently with her band in Boston and New York, Lauren's passionate concerts capture the hearts of her audiences. She has played across the east coast at large events including The Special Olympics and on legendary stages such as CBGB's. "I want to make my audience feel everything I'm feeling," she says, "all of the joy, love and outrage. To create real art, and of course to rock out!"
In addition to her work as a performer, Lauren regularly books concerts for her organization, EME Productions to benefit various philanthropic causes. She also teaches Voice at the historic Club Passim in Harvard Square. More updates about Lauren's shows and benefits will be posted regularly on www.LaurenFlaherty.com and on myspace.com/LaurenFlaherty.
