Midnight Cowboys is an unsigned, Calgary-based recording group that promotes the homegrown, artistic sounds of Southern Alberta through its music. Calgary and area is an emerging hotbed of cultural and artistic talent. Though heavily influenced by its western heritage, there is clearly more artistic value in the Calgary area aside from being proclaimed “Nashville North”. While not shying away from the western heritage of our hometown, Midnight Cowboys promotes a “Calgary sound” in its music, echoing references to not only country music, but also traditional blues, rock and pop styles. The result is a contemporary blend of genres creating a highly marketable and unique brand, self-proclaimed the “Calgary-Sound”.
