Our Mission

thesixtyone is an experimental game that transforms listening to new music into a fun, massively multiplayer adventure.

Despite the incredible wave of creativity that's happening in music, most people have a difficult time overcoming their underlying "musical inertia" -- why bother with the typical tediousness of music discovery when you can fall back into the comfortable familiarity of your iTunes collection?

Tired of seeing great music fade into obscurity, we wondered if we could harness our experience designing video games to make something that could challenge music geeks and attract average people to the exciting frontiers of new music.

We're on a quest to help people fall in love with something new while giving deserving musicians an efficient channel for finding their audiences. To learn how thesixtyone works, please see our FAQ.

Sometimes I'll give praise, sometimes suggestions, other times simple warnings to others that read my comments. Hopefully you'll not feel that my next set of comments is harsh, but merely the explanation of "horrible" that you suggested.

also note: it says "comments", not "suggestions".

Good to hear! I'll let you know if I'm ever up in Seattle, maybe I'll try and catch a show (or open mic?). Best luck brother.

Work on your flow dog. Your lyrics have SERIOUS potential, now just work on delivery. On Melancholy saying, "fur-ther" doesn't work. I don't know if you're down with Quannum, but Pigeon John basically said, finding your niche is simple, be yourself. Keep on though man you've got some good material.
