I keep wanting to brush up on my Russian but I never get around to it. I haven't spoken much of it since my grandmother died when I was in my teens (my dad's mother) his father was Ukranian and my mom's Scots LOL

If you do a cd with a print on it, it should just be this:

(of course, that link opens in a new window... but is a bad url, since you don't actually have an account there)

RAZ, DVA, TRI (one, two, three)

"How do you count this?"
"One, two, three.
Three oranges, three sisters..."
"I mean, seriously,
Did our conversation bear any fruit?"
"Of course, a peach
An apricot..."

I look up
And spot the wing
Of a plane
And my mouth dries up:
We're here, my friend,
At the airport...

And at the customs office
I take out of my pocket
A bottle of beer,
Napkin, fork,
Two glasses.
And when I'm asked
I say only:
"No, I don't
Have any luggage".

Now available at CD Baby

re: cdbaby
you could include a link in your about me or biography... or include a tagline after all your comments within each song.

maybe drop the lyrics in each song and then have a close line and then a tagline that includes
"now available at &a; href="(url to album)" target="_blank">CdBaby</a>"
I'll make an example in another comment.

btw, absolutely love the new song.
also, I just realized that Legend has a sound similar to something REM might do. very cool

I'm glad Chris got with you (Lunavelis). :)

Btw, what he says about sharing some is true. I bought both of his CDs even though many of them were available for free.
I have CD Baby account, so if you go there... I will buy!

Also, don't necessarily try to maximize the $ on the individual sale. 1000 x $10 = $10,000. 5000 x $7 = $35,000. (less costs, you're still ahead and have five times the potential for an accidental new listener)

well, the total cost for setting up an album on CDbaby (including a bar code, which you need for online sales) is around $55 i think? so.....consider that as well =)

heyyy there!

okay, so grover asked me to impart on you my wisdom regarding online sales. i'll expand my advice as necessary.

rules for success for independent musicians:
1) avoid the majors. this includes manufacturing, distribution, sales, etc. any off-shoot of a major corporation (diskfactory, tunecore are examples -- both affiliated with guitar center). they can do things more cheaply, sure, but there's very little quality, quality control, or concern for your product. if you want distribution on itunes, go through someone independent & reputable like CDbaby. If you're looking for manufacturing AND distribution, just go through Oasis CD -- we used them for manufacturing 'airplane' best experience i've ever had with a company in a long time.

2) learn how to pick locks. enough said. i've had to do it in order to save the day & be able to perform on two separate occasions.

lunavelis (level 11) wrote:

3) independent music works like propaganda: the more people who know, the better. i've done sales in many ways. i've given material away for free on bittorrent, for donation using paypal, direct sales using paypal/google checkout, physical sales at shows, and digital sales via itunes, amazon, etc. my recommendation: digital and physical @ shows. and the real money-maker is merchandise. if you use CDbaby, they'll sell your album both physically and set you up for digital on about 28 different services. don't condemn people for downloading your music -- it'll get them in the door, where they'll want to buy your merch =)

4) rock on. by this, i mean play shows. a lot. i've not been so good with this one lately. but after shows, i typically see sales jump by 40-60% the following 2 weeks.

Ciao Olgostin! Is there a way I can buy ALL the songs that you have on 61.com? I love my September 29th playlist, but I wanted to listen on my IPod and, of course, pay you the bundles of cash you deserve for entertaining me so much with your music!! Plus, I have a remote friend who can't get access to 61.com and he would LOVE your music.
Have I mentioned that I love your music?
Bye for now (PS I love the music)

News

Hello everybody
This is God's answer machine...

My hands are on fire
I can't fly away
Tears are not Rain...

And I know my Life's bound to be
A boundless sea of Light...

And the Queen told the King
"To me, darling, you are everything".
So the King turned to the Queen
And said:
"Darling, I wish you were dead."

And all of a sudden
I feel alone,
Surrounded with cellphones...

Let the Moon
Dance, dance, dance.
Let the stars
Take a glance
At the streets below
Where we go
Go, go, go...

What's good
Is the Prelude
To what's bad
And what's sad
Is a path
Towards woods of Joy...

No, Mary
Didn't want
To get married...

Politicians, no way out
Sexy boy scouts, the internet
Skillful apes, another rape
Sausages of rage
Tennis players, orange-flavoured eternity
Heavy Times...

Every smile
Is like a mile
I have to go without you...

The haze was thick
I felt seasick
The ship was going down...

Take your memories by the hand,
Give it up
There’s nothing to understand...

I take a deep breath
But it's just another waste of time
You smile
And I smile back
But it's just another waste of time.
I say goodbye
But Death is just another waste of time...

It's 4 am
And I am to hit the bed.
I feel too bad
To pick up the phone
I know it's you,
You feel alone...

Let dreams be
The answer at night
When you wake up
Scared by the absence...

This sad sad song
Is not for you
Not for me...

Years go by
I'm still here
The same fear
Of getting lost
Somewhere
In the past,
Life dies fast...

And I didn't know
That present is just
A shade of rust
On your golden past...

Time has come
To ask Time:
What time is it?

People blind
And deaf
To crime
And Death.
People trying to hide
Their pain.
People learning
From rain...

The day is still dark
And I'm stuck
In the middle of
A traffic jam...

I look back sometimes
And all I see
Are bitter smiles
Or two children
Sitting on the roadside, who play marbles...
