Tom Hunt is the musical pseudonym used by the composer Tom Hunt, mainly because his creativity appears to stretch as far as writing electronic music, but not as far as coming up with a half-decent title for himself. Perhaps one day he will see fit to think about changing this, but today is not that day.
Whilst he is a relative newcomer to composing electronica, he has a strong background in music, having previously played bass, guitar and djembe in a funk-rock fusion band.
Being primarily a professional juggler, he began writing music with the intention of using it to choreograph juggling and circus routines to, but seems to have somewhat lost sight of that eventual aim, and now appears to be writing experimental electronica for kicks.
His influences come from, in part, almost all styles of music, but those that shine through the brightest are dubstep, breakcore and metal, each contributing aspects towards his eclectic, rhythmically diverse and bass-driven sound. He also draws influence and inspiration from dance, movement, theatre, everyday events, friends, sandwiches, and, of course, juggling.
