Just a reminder guys...Mega Upload Party Wake for Michael Paul Miller on May 8th. Time or times TBA.

ANY 61 artist who wishes to join in should wall post their song name and band name on KosmikRay 's wall. There are 54 bands confirmed so far and hopefully the number will round out at an even 100.

That's an excellent sound. I've added more songs by you guys than any other band on 61. :)

Sooo...what's the status on that EP recording? 'Cause, I think I need to get my hands on that ASAP. You guys have just been so consistently good with each upload...very impressive.

The Beat was in Toronto a few times in 2005 playing some of the bigger clubs. What I remember of that night was pretty awesome.

I guarantee my avatar has been drunk at many a ska gig! (many a gig; period) The Beat and the Bosstones I've seen live; not the Specials though. They're getting together this Friday for the first time in 25 yrs. You guys are sounding consistently good! ;-)

I think what your style, if not your music, reminds me of is the way R.E.M. played in the early 80s--particularly in your drummer's phrasing and the way he (or she? or is it a machine?) frames the sections of your songs.

Damn you're fast! Schizophrenic; that's where I live. Bring it on! Kudos.

Haha yea, I can imagine it's a bit strange without the backstory. Well, it's strange either way, I guess...

Yea, there is. It seems like once a month the creators of the site make significant changes to the way that the points system works (on the listeners' side and/or the artists' side), but don't announce the changes prior to them happening...we just kind of find out about them as we try to use the site in our normal, every day way. The guinea pigs came from a comment someone made in the forums which was something like "as soon as i feel like i know how this site works, it gets changed on me with no warning. i feel like a guinea pig in an ever-changing world." And so it exploded into folks agreeing with that by displaying a guinea pig in some way as their avatar.

I swear i thought it was shortened motel-speak for popcorn.
Please send the maintenance personage around sometime today, as the heat is causing all the golden marbled mirror tiles to fall from the ceiling, and my sample cases of customizable imprinted tiki mugs are in jeopardy, without Alex Tribec. Pay no attention to the man behind the myk... I am less than negative zero.
