Fifteen-year-old Megan Rasmussen, lead singer of Running Empty, was singing before she knew how to talk. Her amazing talent and dedication to her craft caught the eye of acclaimed producer and Celebrity Vocal Coach James Lugo at the 2008 iPOP! International Talent Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she made it to the final four of the overall competition.
Megan has had an illustrious singing career, everything from being a vocal soloist and primary cast member of a recent rendition of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s ‘Cats’ at Cal Poly Pomona, to performing her own music in Los Angeles venues such as Kulak’s Woodshed. Megan’s world-class rock voice and stunning beauty has helped elevate her into one of the music business’ most promising artists.
2009 has been an amazing year so far. Megan’s band ‘Running Empty’ has completed their debut album, ‘I’m Not Your Girl’, with producers James Lugo (American Idol, The Veronica’s), Gregg Sartiano (Snoop Dogg, Method Man) and mixer Brian Yaskulka (CBS). James, Gregg, Brian and Megan have created a perfect blend of great modern rock hooks with heartfelt lyrics and a radio friendly vocal style. Megan is on her way to stardom.
