ps
Thanks eatabagel. I didn't think you could bump revive songs.

If you just want to bump a song that has the revive button on it you can do so by clicking on the Revive Tab and then clicking the button at the bottom right of the popup.

SUBSCRIBER ALERT!

The sixty-one MEGA Upload Party Wake for Michael Paul Miller is set to go off from 7 to 8 pm Pacific Time on Thursday, May the 8th. With 61+ artists slated, it should average about one new tune per minute, and there will be additional uploads hours later due to late uploads. Check KosmikRay 's Wallzine listing of the 61 official artists for your favorite bands, and let your favs know they are welcome to "crash" it and upload then if they didn't get the word in time. Also, feel free to let anyone you tunebox with in on it, as it is open to ALL artists and ALL listeners.
Enjoy the music, as we celebrate for Mike...

***please post a copy of this notice on friends or subscribers walls...we need to get the word out.

To catch an artist upload you would have to be lucky and check the bump=0 area right after they upload a song and before someone else bumps it. A more fool proof way to get some first-bumps is to stake out the bump=0 area when the blogs are scrapped for new music. This happens almost without fail at 12am, 6am, 12pm, and 6pm Eastern Time. There is bound to be at least one song scraped (aka uploaded from a music blog) at these times. Sometimes 6 songs are scraped, sometimes more. There is also the chance that none are scraped, but that is rare. If nothing is scraped by 5 minutes after the hour then you can stop refreshing, nothing is coming.

Now you know everything I know about the bump=0 area.

Do you mean, where to find songs that haven't been bumped yet? If so, you go to the browse section, make sure the genre is set to "all", type "0" into Bumps=Max, and press enter. Now you will see only songs that have 0 bumps so far. We call this the bumps=0 area. When there are currently no unbumped songs, you will just get the message "No results were found". Put your cursor in the spot where you just typed the "0" and press enter to refresh the page if you want to check again.

I like to promote the music of my friends when I believe in their material. There's one singer that I should have already been telling everybody about a long time ago, but she has the disadvantage of having me doing the mixing, mastering and music for her songs.

Please allow me to direct your attention to my wife's page on thesixtyone, and our page as well. I have just posted songs on both profiles.

"Presenting to You" was created for a benefit CD that should be availalbe again in the near future. The website needs to be revamped.

"Need Stilts" is often considered to be one of the greatest songs I have ever taken part in writing.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hey there,

You bumped "Georgia's Hand" 7 times, "Glutton" twice, "I Fell Flat" once and "Take on Me" 4 times. I appreciate all of that. Thank you.

I won't be putting any new songs on here for a long time. I'm BEYOND maxed out with 21 songs. I will have to reach level 20 to put up anything new, and the highest rated artist is at level 17 right now. It's safe to say it's going to be a while.

Then again, 21 songs is a probably a lot to absorb. Should you choose to hear more, you can!

Hey there,

Deshead's a friend of mine from Songfight. He's better than his bump and listener stats reflect.

He also just uploaded a new song called "Nothing Left". I like it, I bumped it several times, and maybe you'll like it too. That's why I am telling you about it.

DAY 509
Brother Machine - I Had a Dream
From "No Home in this World"

When I think of musicians that I have met, it baffles my mind that some of them aren't playing to packed arenas worldwide. As far as I can tell, Brother Machine is the whole package, and should be a household name. Seth is a great singer, a great songwriter, and a great live performer at the very LEAST. He puts out better music than a lot of signed artists that I hear.

That's why I am thrilled to announce that I convinced Bro Mac to join thesixtyone. It may not be the key to super-stardom, but at least more people will hear this music, which is great beacuse it is music that is WORTH YOUR TIME. I urge you to check it out.

You should be able to listen to "I Had a Dream" on the Brother Machine's Myspace page.

Hello there,

"Go Home, Please" hit the front page over the weekend, and that was a very pleasant surprise. You helped to make that happen by bumping the song, so thank you!

I wrote and recorded it around a year ago while I was trying to complete 14 songs for February Album Writing Month. I was very happy with the song at first, but over time I started wondering if the ending was too cheesy, and I regarded it as one of my weaker tracks that had come out of the process.

I recently re-evaluated the song and thought "Maybe they will like this on thesixtyone." So, I really didn't know whether people were going to like it or not when I uploaded it.

With that in mind? Thank you for bumping "Go Home, Please" and proving my doubts to be unnecessary.

ROCK!

Hey there,

8 days ago I uploaded a song called "I Fell Flat", and you discovered it. Thank you for doing that. It hasn't exactly taken off, but I'm hoping that will change with the new edit I uploaded last night. It has new vocals that I recorded last night, and hopefully that will help.
