STATION! formed on Dec 19, 1999. To cut a long story short, illustrator, Andrew Bargeron was asked by Jeff Powell (of the band Why bother?) to guest lead vocals on a cover of Weezer's WHY BOTHER? Andrew agreed, but thought it silly that Why Bother? cover WHY BOTHER? and While watching Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey in the green room at the recording studio, the perfect band name struck him: STATION! This version of WHY BOTHER? was the only time Andrew has recorded with a full band.
In 2003/4 Station!featured a team up with Nicholas Andrew Karp on the tracks M/XL & the rentals cover MOVE ON.
10 years after the inception of STATION! Andrew was reunited with his best friend with whom he graduated High School: Martin Leroy Hansen. In their youth, the two friends would record mostly improvisational songs and fake radio spots for imaginary products and films. Most of these recordings aren't worth the tape they were magnetized to.
However, upon reuniting with Marty, as well as Andrew's rough but functional musical abilities (and Marty's expertise), they have begun to produce a 3rd STATION! release entitled "FANTASTIC CINEMATIC" (a crop of movie inspired songs).
