SAUL 71 was formerly known under the name of Glenn Garinther, but has recently changed his name to be able to further expand his horizons within the music industry. SAUL 71 grew his hip hop roots while living in Vancouver’s downtown East side. He moved there by himself at the age of 17, with just the clothes on his back to persue his goals as a musician. These experiences have led him to use his lyrics as a form of personal journaling of his life experiences.

SAUL 71 has just released his newest CD titled “AUDIO”, which is now the number 1 seller on TriCityMusic.ca. He has previously released 3 CDs (under the former name Glenn Garinther) – Post No Bills (1997), Immortal (2001) and Totem (2005). Currently SAUL 71 is working on promoting his new album across Canada.

In 2006, Glenn Garinther became the #1 singer/songwriter in Canada on CBC Radio III’s top 10 countdown for singer/songwriter's with his song “one,” coming in ahead of 5X Juno winner Feist, as well as Ron Sexsmith, and Matt Mays.

SAUL 71 performs all of his songs while accompanying himself on the acoustic guitar. He learned to play the guitar at the age of 11, and uses both the music he creates on the guitar and his personal stories to create songs that leave a lasting impression.
