In this year’s Austin City Limits contest, I still have four days until voting is closed to the public. As of right now, I am about 465 votes away from making the first cut. With your help, I’d like to try something amazing. I still want to try to make that first cut (the top 100). Unrealistic? Un-attainable? Impossible? I need your help! Tell your friends, vote everyday, and support the music that speaks to you. In an era of over-produced sound, generic chord progressions, and image over ability, I want to create something different. Help me get my music out there!

Vote at:
http://www.delllounge.com/soundandjury/?id=e20493b1-5496-4e04-9608-b9ad5baf947b

Thanks so much for your support through this, I’ve done way better than I ever thought I would! Your votes are some of the best compliments that you can give me. I promise this will be the last time I bug you to vote.

Hope you have a good week, and as always, thanks for listening,

-joshua

StEvie, Thank You BIG BIG BIG!!! I will perform pretty much anyplace, as long as the general expenses are covered...Ohio isn't that terribly far and would be great to build up a few new fans! If it pretty much pays for itself with gigs, then it's no issue for me to find a decent hotel and rack a few nights on the scene!!! I have a few friends in that general area, so it would be worth a trip out there, I appreciate your support and all the help you offer! Thanks again so much!

I just made 90 percent of our songs available to be downloaded for free. The one's that aren't, are in the process of being rerecorded (or are going to be remixed), and will be available for free download soon! If you are in Los Angeles on August 24th we're competing in Guitar Center's battle of the bands at the 705 club. If you are interested shoot me an email at troubleinthewind@gmail.com and I’ll get you all the details. Lastly, if you haven't already, check out my solo stuff at http://www.thesixtyone.com/#/Ryanstavern/ -Ryan

It's us again. We just signed a licensing deal with Octobertunes in Canada for film and TV placement. So to celebrate we uploaded the song they licensed, "Dynamo" to our page. Give it a listen when you get a chance. They also licensed Baby Girl and Go Home. High water day for us. Thanks for the time you take to listen to us, it is much appreciated.

Hello,

I noticed you were one of my listeners on thesixtyone, and was wondering if you’d vote for me for the Austin City Limits “Sound and the Fury” competition. It’s a chance for me to play on one of the main stages during the Austin City Limits festival, which would be awesome! I really only need a few hundred votes to be considered in the top 100, and you can vote once a day until voting closes to the public on the 22nd of August. Make sure you confirm your vote as well when you get emailed back from the contest. Voting is free and your vote would mean an awful lot to me!

Hey there. Thanks for your support. We just uploaded a new song, the title track of our CD "Scratch". It's poppy and ironic. Did it in honor of the fact we are playing a 2.5 hour set tonight in Kirkland. Hope you like it, and thanks again.

Hey You!!!! I do travel outside of MN, however only if funds allow, which these days is tough. Mostly I'm just performing in 'my own backyard' Minneapolis/St Paul...where are you located? If i'm going to be in that area, I can check out some venues to perform at, Or if you know of any...I sure could use 'mini street teams'...Meanwhile, if you're in MN, let me kn ow...and thanks SO much for your great comments, support and feedback :)

Hi. Just thought I'd let you know that we'll be posting a track to T61 today at 1:03pm (CDT). The song is "You Hung the Moon." Come by and take a listen...if you dare.

On a completely separate note: The combination "ough" can be pronounced in nine different ways. The following sentence contains them all:
"A rough-coated, dough-faced, thoughtful ploughman strode through the streets of Scarborough; after falling into a slough, he coughed and hiccoughed."

You liked the moon, so I am going to give you a tip as a way of saying thank you.

According to this news story, the moon is going to appear gigantic tonight, but it is an optical illusion.

ROCK!
