Born and raised in B.C., Canada. Steph Macpherson was enrolled in voice and piano lessons at the age of 5. She picked up a guitar in high school, and proceeded to fall madly in love with songwriting.

Steph prides herself on pooling her powers of observation and reflection, melody and lyricism, and pouring them into her music. The result is a collection of songs that critique the pros and cons of human nature, through a lens of hopeless romanticism and relentless optimism.

It's a beautiful world. Despite its occasional shortcomings.

Steph currently resides in Vancouver, B.C., and has just begun her first tour, covering a large part of Eastern and Western Canada with fellow musician Zachary Lucky. www.myspace.com/zacharylucky.
