i was born in new york but my parents are from the Dominican Republic i have researched the name Edwin and it led me to believe the name is originated from Europe and i think there was a famous war hero with our name from Europe 2 .... what about you whats your ethnic background because your last name doesn't seem to be Asian related

Now THAT was amazing. You should've seen my face...I was grinning from ear to ear after that stop in the song. That was an absolutely brilliant addition. And that little "electronic recalibration" sound was cool, too. It set up the upcoming 'wall of sound' nicely.

Overall, I thought it all flowed really well, no instrument felt overpowering at any point, and the little drum transition near the end when the gong starts to fade was another great transition. Only thing that I found strange was at :34 seconds remaining, it seemed like the upwards piano progression was interrupted by the low note that usually comes after it. But, I also could see it as a little 1/2-step remix sound (if that even makes sense). Seriously though. I was ready to stand up and clap. So, if you're still working on evolving it, anything you improve on it at this point is all icing on the cake. =D

Yupe Version 1.5 is up (^O^ ) I re-uploaded after a quick fix on Version 1 after an amazing quick and detailed inputs from our friends

So this is what I've done:
- Cut most of the silent intro, but piano come in softer
- increase the piano levels when the 1st up-tempo beat comes in
- when it moves down again I increase the drum march feel, with some press roll and more powerfull snare stroke
- instead of backing up a bit on 2:57 I pushed the drum a bit more powerfull on the parts before that. b/ its like the build up of life
-after the celebration of life, I thought (with input from lank) busy lifestyle still happens around us but we choose to move away to a more peaceful environment, so therefore The drums remains busy, but we are moving away from it (hence the drums fading away)
-then return to the original end.
-the distracting loops on the left channel is removed

haven't put gongs and Bass timpanis, but will soon, so stay tune for Revision Version 2 \(^O^)/

ps: I did some fast mock up mastering to the audio, hence louder and clearer sound.

I love your music. At last, someone not afraid to use a great melody. Something badly missing in a lot of todays modern songs. Wonderful stuff :))

Hi Guys, so its been a month been pretty busy lately thats why it took such a long time. the revision version is up!

the things I done is the "Life" concept which: "getting faster as you old"
the build up! cresendos, and more cresendos. The pulse indicates "Heartbeat'

now I post this un-finished as I wanted an input from you guys 1st. I will definately add some guitar next, and smoothen the drums a bit, the end needs to be a bit tight.

I can't wait to hear from you guys, ou and by the way, the proccess where I choose what drum beat goes with this is the hardess, my 1st concept was "a march" b/ we're walking together in this journey of life. But as "Life" as similar it is to each one of us, it also very unpredictable and unique. So I must find an odd beat a unique one, but still is very familiar with most listener, (Turned out very2 hard, I chunk out about 4 almost finished drum beat and start over again)

(just reposting it on top so that people can read it easily)

(and I was just saying this to Lankysob)
the silence intro was suppose to be a soft pad snyth slowly rising to build the tension as life is spawn into the world, but I guess it is way to subtle that we can't barely hear the increase of vol. I was thinking of that to actually after hearing it a couple of time with low vol. (^^ )

cooliies
revision version 1.5 cooming up soon! (^O^)

Hope that all makes sense. I'm no expert on musical lingo...I just know what my ear likes, so I tried to put it down for you as best I could as I listened to it over and over. Overall, it sounds great and I think it's evolved a LOT. You were able to take all the suggestions and really turn it into something that's starting to feel like a tangible, musical interpretation of Life.

Your boasts only motivate me to train my reviving skills. Soon, I will have the Conan and Terminator soundtracks blaring in the background as I press the revive button.

(part 1)
I listened a bunch of times and here's what I picked up (yea, i actually took notes! =P).
There are :16 seconds of pure silence at the beginning before you hear even the faintest sound at 6:23...maybe cut that silence in half or so to grab the listeners' attention sooner.

4:58 first high note of the piano (which seems about right- the lengthy intro without it reflects how long childhood actually feels before life starts to speed up in the Teens).

4:26 volume increases and drums overpower the piano - I'd say to bring the piano volume level up as well, but back the drums off just a bit, maybe by 10-15% so the piano still feels more important.

3:57 song starts to die down almost a little too much for having 4mins remaining. i like the drum taps. if you made them faster and more powerful - almost marching band-like, it could reflect adulthood and the repetition of life.

(part 2)
2:57 back up a bit (middle aged- an end to the working life is in sight, hope for retirement is coming).

2:28 song feels nice and fully developed right here.

1:58 great transition (as though life is satisfying and happy).

1:30 great celebration of life, but maybe scale the frequency you use the gong back - it actually feels like there is too much going on. you could use it every 4th beat, perhaps. i like the full sound of this part of the song, but the gong seems to muddy it up a little much.

at the very end, have the drum beat fade out much sooner to reveal the sad, introspective piano. i feel like it needs to end almost exactly like the original one did. that ending was amazing, and a perfect musical depiction of old age and dying.
