Biography

The Grammar Club is a nontraditional hip-hop/rock band. That is not to say that there is anything nontraditional about blending hip-hop and rock music, since acts like Limp Bizkit (and their less miserable contemporaries) made hip-hop influence a rock music staple in the mid 1990s (and Aerosmith, alongside Run DMC, did it way earlier, in the 80s); rather, The Grammar Club is a nontraditional hip-hop/rock band because its members each live in different parts of North America and have, by and large, never met.

I really dig your music! You should join thesixtyone's contest to produce an album for the Guitar Center Music Foundation!

Just saw the comments on JoCo's blog post. Wow, that was an onslaught of audio-nerd elitism on a scale I never expected. Good to see you guys took it in stride and in good humor though, full credit.

Thanks for the new song and all.

It's potent. REALLY potent. So much so that I'm currently spending nine months as a house.

It's ruining my figure.

I have put some new secrets on the Grammar Club site. You will never find them!

Hello! Thank you for continuing to listen to us. I hope you are enjoying our new upload Sentinels.

We're hard at work on a new album, and we'll have a new store and some new remix kits up on our site soon. We are certainly not beating Mega Man 9 instead of doing that. Dr. Wily is not going to get what's coming to him.

August?

Our cover now properly links to Jonathan Coulton, who we would like to take this oppurtunity to thank for his work in Portal, and also for acknowledging us on his 'blog. Thank you, JoCo! I hope to one day realize my not-implausible fantasy of running into you at the CostCo, since you live here in Brooklyn. Geek rock stars may not shop at the CostCo, though. Le sigh.

We now have T-shirts on our website. Please be purchasin' muh T-shirts.

An interview with me (Shael) just went up at BludNet. Shortley thereafter, an interview with Beefy went up too.

Oh hai! We puts up new song!

Remixers, be advised: The Grammar Club just put up the project files for Balloon Flight in its new Remix Kits section, on its website. Download, use, and enjoy!

Please browse more of our music and join our forums at our website: http://thegrammarclub.com.

We just added 7 fliers and an alternate, for-purchase version of our album with bonus tracks, and all the proceeds going to Child's Play, a rad charity.

We've also updated the free-for-download version of the album with new album art and liner notes.
