another Rails update:

we just posted a new (old) tune on our page, its called "in case of fire" and, though its not one of our newer jams, we still think it's worth a listen. here's hoping it will be on the next Jock Jamz compilation.

love

No, I have not read that book by Chuck P. As it is summer break, I have an extensive list of books I am reading right now, I will slap that to the end of the list! Right now, I just finished Freakonomics and about to start Kite Runner. After that it is Catch-22. It's so hard to pleasure reading during the school year. What sort of graduate degree are you pursuing?

I'm just finishing up too. My last course ends in about a month. Two final papers and a couple of seminars away from being done!

I have already started working full time, though, which has made studying considerably more difficult. But I couldn't pass up the opportunity of having a (good) job the minute my MA was over (i.e. I am poor and need the money). So, it looks like I'll be staying in Hamilton for a while (possibly years if I get into PhD afterwards). Turns out I kind of like it here.

I recently returned as well. Still not able to devote the time I used to, though...

How are things?

tips, huh? um, early bumps are good, just avoid multibumping heavily at the beginning. if there's any old songs you really like, you can go back and multibump them and get a decent return from what i observed...not sure about profit-wise though. however, it can go towards some of those new achievements or something. btw, not sure why, but your "listen up" one should be unlocked. anyway, guess that's all i can think of at the moment, but really, just bump what you like. simple as that.

hello...not only were you top five, you held the number one spot! must not forget that. sorta feel bad that i've been occupying it for months now, unintentionally these days too. others deserve it as well, but i can't get rid of these points unless i go on some massive reviving spree or something. eh, i'll be lost in the sea of listeners too...ya know, one day.

So...here's a bit of forewarning, you mad bumper you. We'll be uploading a new tune, "Big Black Car," to T61 sometime around 12:06pm (CDT) today. It's a happy-go-lucky murder song with a fun beat. It's also a track from our latest CD, The Center of the Universe, which is currently being featured as a "recommended CD" in the April issue of Paste Magazine...which makes us very happy.

You can, in fact, listen to our music at a Paste listening station in your local indie music shop. While doing so, feel free to exclaim loudly, jump up and down and make generally orgasmic faces. This will make the store manager very happy. (Us too.)

"Enough with the shameless self promotion already," you're probably muttering to yourself between whispered curses. "Get your poncy verbiage off my comment wall, you twittering hack."

All right already. Just throw a few bumps our way if ya like what ya hear...OK?

CloverRex recently revived our song "Good as Gold." It's one of the very first songs we posted here on T61 a while back...I'm glad to see it's getting another shot at "the big time." If you get a chance, check it out.

Oh, by the way, don't be alarmed by the numerous backwards messages buried deep within the mix of the song. We're just subliminally encouraging you to get plenty of fiber in your diet. And check the air pressure in your tires regularly. And floss. No big deal, seriously.

Just flow with it.

Soo pardon the shameless self promotion, but I wanted to let you know we just put up seven new live recordings from our show last Saturday at Cinespace in Hollywood. The audio is really great and includes five previously unrecorded songs, including "Mercedes Benz" a cover of a Janis Joplin classic. I think it's arguable that these sound better than our studio album, but regardless I'm really excited to have em on line to show off to music aficionado's like your self. Cheers!

I like to promote the music of my friends when I believe in their material. There's one singer that I should have already been telling everybody about a long time ago, but she has the disadvantage of having me doing the mixing, mastering and music for her songs.

Please allow me to direct your attention to my wife's page on thesixtyone, and our page as well. I have just posted songs on both profiles.

"Presenting to You" was created for a benefit CD that should be available again in the near future. The website needs to be revamped.

"Need Stilts" is often considered to be one of the greatest songs I have ever taken part in writing.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

ROCK!
