Just wanted to announce the new EP we are working on for all those of you (I know you're out there somewhere) waiting with bated breath for new material. The EP is currently planned as 4 songs all written within a conceptual framework based upon tightrope walkers.  The material has ...

Hey everybody,

Added an old album I did as a side project to our discography, you can download it free here (aiode.com). It's a sleepscape I recorded a few years ago after taking a trip with my girlfriend around Canada's east coast. What's a sleepscape? A very slow, lyricless, and to ...

We're taking off to the wilds of Thunder Bay for the next 2 months to plant some trees. Really appreciate the positive response you've all been sending our way and definitely look forward reading any more comments you have when we return.

We're planning to work on an acoustic based EP ...

Here is a lovely treat from our excessively sleepless nights spent working on The Whale & Grouch. It somehow became a ritual to record a beat poem after each song had been mastered, and here is one of them. I warn you, we'd been listening to Tom Waits...

So, for those of you who aren't already aware, we often share lyrical responsibilities with our computers and their indifferent randomness. A few years ago Chris created a simple tool that collects words, phrases, and snips of lyrical inspirations that we log into it. Over time, we build up a ...

Aiode is a creative partnership between Nicholas Russell and Christopher Postill. The project produces primarily music; but also video, installation art and literature based around a core set of shared interests. These interests include space, deep introspection and ephemeral grouches.

The project has been around since 1998, producing sporadic releases every year or so. The members of Aiode can also be found in Dabe & His Good Buds and Nova Crime.

Currently the group is working on an acoustic EP and gathering material for a new full length.

such a nice vibe here. loving it. you might check out 'scatter the ashes' which is a punk / emocore band, which feels similar in ways, not that a comparison is necessary - more, maybe you'll enjoy.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to get the first heart on one of your tracks. First, for some strange reason I've never come across your music before and this has brought me here. Also, this is an incredibly beautiful, expressive, ethereal and powerful composition. Beautiful lyrics...incredible drums/beat. Interesting to have all of that in one track. Thank you so much for posting The Third Night (part 1).

Cool compositions. Hard to lock down for category, which just makes it more interesting. Good range of different moods, each entry has its own unique imprint. The Cold is my immediate favorite. That cabin looks comfy - hope you come back from the wilds supercharged with new melodies inside! Lastly, big thanks for adding to the tree-count!!! ♥♪♫
