Chuck Silva is a guitarist and electronic music programmer. With a formal background in jazz, Chuck plays many styles of music ranging from straight-ahead to modern jazz, drum ‘n’ bass/breakbeat-based electronica, to rock, soul and funk. An innovator, Chuck left his mark on the Detroit music scene and performed with Norma Jean Bell & The All Star Band, Alexander Zonjic, Bob James, Kirk Whalem and others.
Since leaving the performing arts, Chuck has focused on producing solo, semi-avant-garde music, incorporating mixes of live and re-mixed guitar with samples, synths, and found sounds of all varieties. He can also be found playing in local jazz clubs in the Detroit area with various acts.
