biography
A SPELL INSIDE was founded in 1989 by Melrow (vocals, programming) and PeKirk (synths, samples). After some funny sessions the whole thing became bigger and bigger.

After a couple of shows in Germany and and a lot of sold tapes a record-company signed them and the first MCD "Return to grey" was released in 1995. The debut was a big success and one year later the first longplayer followed called "Visions from the Inside". From then A SPELL INSIDE were a constant not only in Germany's dark-wave-electronic scene but also in many parts of Europe like e.g. Sweden or Italy.

Till this day many releases followed. The last one was "Vitalizer" in 2004 which came up with pure electronic sounds in comparison to the first releases in the 90ies where the guitars played a major role.

In 2008 there are two highlights to come:

1. CD "Essential" as a collection of rare and exclusive tracks in 09/2008.

2. Brandnew album "Loginside" which you can expect in the end of 2008.

Oh, yes we do, but only a few ... the last show we played was in april in Sweden. It was awesome and we had a big party. Would be nice to come to the USA one day.

actually it's something older. I grew up in Germany :P during the dark wave industrial movement into techno. So i grew up on your sound but it reminds me of something i can't place. I'm still thinking on it but yeah it was great times.Are you guys still doing live shows?

Your song '25th Hour' got me listening to you which honestly is just slightly out of my 'genre wheelhouse' (although still fairly eclectic). However, from that song I've gone on to listen to more and I must say that most all your music is really growing on me. Nothing like finding what you had no ideal of finding!

It's so great you put ASI on here as well. Whether we listen to Behind The Scenes or A Spell Inside, personally, I can never get enough of the vocals from either band!
