If you wanna know what Barrio Tiger sounds like, think punk rock Thin Lizzy with a Dead Boys attitude and a beer soaked intensity not felt since the days when the Replacements stole your heart. Barrio Tiger's newest effort, an as of yet unreleased 7 song e.p entitled "Laugh Now, Cry later" was recorded in 4 days at Manny Nieto's Estudio and mastered by Pete Lyman at Infrasonic in East L.A. Previously, a 5 song e.p entitled "The Kindness Of Strangers" was recorded at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio studios in Chicago, IL (while we were still Thee Callers) and produced by Manny Nieto, known to those in the know as frontman for the mighty Distortion Felix. Manny has recorded Circle Jerks, Mars Volta, the Breeders, Darker My Love, among a big roster of great L.A. bands. It was mastered by Mark Chalecki at Capitol Mastering. Three songs on this page are from this recording, as well as a video for a fourth if you click on the video chingadera.
