Biography

Broadside Electric uses rock idioms and innovative arrangements to bring new energy to folk music. A band equally at home with folk tradition and modern rock innovation, Broadside's unique hybrid sound successfully blends the music of different countries and cultures with a striking consistency. The emphasis is on the music of the British Isles, but other diverse influences abound including Klezmer, bluegrass, Balkan, Swiss, blues and classical.

Upsetting that you guys don't get more attention here. Amazing work, and I'm absolutely in love with Lord Bateman. You guys are right up there with Solas and Lunasa in my list of favorites. Definitely gained a fan, and I'll be spreading word around as best I can.

You OWN Royal Oak! I've not heard such a wonderful treatment in a very long time. As for "Pennsylvania's answer to Steeleye Span," I believe that False Sir John is absolute proof of that statement. Well done, Broadside Electric, well done.
