CLICK HERE to like brokeMC on FACEBOOK!brokeMC has been establishing his musical presence in the New York and National scene without rest since 2001. Four National tours later, including shows at the Famous Viper Room in Los Angeles and a feature at NXNE in Toronto in 2008, brokeMC has just released his most raw and emotive disc yet.
"Seeing Things" is a walk from the grimey alleys of Brooklyn to the shimmering skyscrapers of Manhattan, from the Deserts of New Mexico to an Alien space ship. brokeMC flexes his storytelling prowess in the vibrant mix of beats by SF Bay Area beatsmith Dozer's lush rhythmic backdrops conjuring images from daydreams and nightmares.
His sharp cadence and everyman flow are garnering him acclaim across the world from the masses who are sick of the same old nonesense. A veteran of countless street cyphers and battles, and DIY punk rock peddler of postmodern anthems, brokeMC is giving you yet another reason to scream at the top of your lungs that "Broke is Okay!"
His self-released solo debut Spillin My Guts is a culmination of his experience in the New York underground. Decorative articulate wordplay paired with futuristic un-conventional beats makes this album stand on its own as a genre-defying tribute to the progression not only of hip-hop but of music in general. Audiences are drawn to his diverse topics and malleable cadence from the sing-song hooks of tracks like "Damaged Goods" to the machine-gun delivery of "Pure Entertainment."
Make it better dropped in the summer of 2007 featuring production by himself, as well as beats from Natan Alla in Germany, Hooligan in Sweden, Nolan Fisher in Brooklyn, and the Magnanimous Domer. The crew cut "Evolution" features Falldown crew members Bisc1 (Embedded Joints) and Domer (Mindspray).
Look for a new album from brokeMC in the fall of 2011!!
