biography
Captain Melted grew up with The Sex Pistols and The Damned rattling round his brain. They weren't exactly musical monsters, but they filled him up with energy, anger and a delight in anything anti-authoritarian. Musically, his tastebuds were tickled deliciously by the bands that grew out of punk, the non-amorphous bunch that got labelled "post-punk", bands like Wire, Cabaret Voltaire, Rema Rema, Joy Division, Siouxsie & The Banshees. Then, much later, after the dreadful decade (the 1980's) was over, he had a musical awakening to bands like The Orb, Leftfield, Transglobal Underground, Loop Guru, Underworld and many many more.

Captain Melted, a true eclectic if ever there was one, has been equally influenced by the late 1970s and the early to mid 1990's. His music is something of a reflection of both these eras, if not a strange marriage - perhaps even a shotgun wedding.

If you're canny with dates, you've probably worked out that the good Captain is something of an old fart, being in his mid-forties. It may surprise you to know then that he only started making music last year. Just goes to show you, doesn't it? What it goes to show you though, I don't know.

Hey there, that's pretty interesting music. Quite hard to put it in a genre (and that's probably the reason why it's so enjoyable). Cheers!

Thanks for stopping by! Luckily, my skin and bones are constructed of a compound polymer, resistant to melting by extreme heat or radiation. My thoughts and feelings, however, have melted into a gelatenous goo. Keep it real homie.

Melted Rubber Humans sound engaging inviting and alarming all at once. Very cool.

Hey doode!

Thanks for having a listen!

Your music has a deep granular base rythm to it. Makes me feel like I am on a Klingon starship. Liked the use of vocals and the way it implifies the rythm. Interesting tracks!

You sent me a post on Garageband telling me that and which I responded to yesterday which got you onto this site when I then stumbled onto you as someone who bumped one of my tunes was listening to you when I visited their page....Pure luck there! but are you too wasted to remember any of this?
And yes, the Living Room stuff is from the mid eighties. All the other stuff from Voodoo Lounge, carbonemissions and Is Data Tree is from mid nineties to present.I'm away to Arran for the weekend and we'll speak later.
