Biography

We are an electro-pop duo from Vancouver BC - I am Cameron, I do the bleeps and bloops, and Veronica sings the tunes (for the most part). This is self-recorded self-produced electro-pop fun, influenced by old-timey synth bands like Depeche Mode, New Order, and Men Without Hats. We are also influenced by robots, Commodore 64s, Sea Otters, and digital hand claps.

We have one album out, Back to BASIC, which was re-mixed and re-released in January 2007. You can get a copy on CD through our website, www.childrenofthecpu.com, or you can download it for free at that site (no, seriously). Spre... (+) expand

Thanks everyone. Check out the other project we contribute to if you get a chance, World of Science. It has bleeps and bloops by me (Cameron) and Veronica singing a bit, plus some electric guitar, some electric bass (by our friend Kelly), and some different male vocal courtesy of our pal Dave.

Kids these days with their graphics and frame rates.
I remember when moon raker came out. Which for historical reference was the first game to feature side scrolling. Imagine that kids. No side scrolling.

Haha, that game predates Nintendo Entertainment System even - it's Q*Bert on the Atari 2600 (and it was an arcade game before that).

Pretty sweet bleeps and bloops going on.

What game are the kids playing on your album cover? I am too young to have played any old nintendo games.

Oh that's okay, level 2 is further than I ever made it in Dungeons and Dragons anyway; I just liked drawing out the maps. I don't even think Veronica has ever played Dungeons and Dragons, though she does have a necklace made from D & D dice. Is this an appropriate conversation for our band comment wall? meh, whatever :)

You probably could've picked a better time to start uploading - I think everybody's asleep. I guess it's my fault for sending the invitation so late.

We went up to level 2! It's like we are playing Dungeons and Dragons! We are Level-2 Neutral-Good Electro-Pop Wizard Elves
