Chris Castle has shared stages with acts like: Chris Hillman (the Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers), Jimmy Webb, Radney Foster, Richard Shindell, Tommy Ramone (the Ramones), The Wood Brothers, Amy Speace, Peter Case, Jeff Black, Phil Lee, Will Kimbrough, Tommy Womack, the everybodyfields, Junior Brown, Jonathan Edwards, Jim White, Fiona McBain (of Ollabelle) and Eilen Jewell.

His 2007 release, hollow bones in monotone, was recorded at OMNIsound Nashville (once RCA Victor Studios). His 2008 follow-up, Crazy Wind, was recorded at the Woodstock home of Americana music legend Levon Helm.

Castle has appeared on NBC Cleveland, ABC Lexington, NHPR, WKSU, WTTU, WBGU and several other tv/radio outlets East of the Mississippi River. No Depression called him "one of five indie acts you should know" while Folk Alley dubbed him "a rising, Americana stand-out". The (New London, CT) Day's Rick Koster calls Chris "a visionary songwriter... of almost scary literary acumen". Cleveland Magazine called him "an authentic connection to the world-weary soul of American Roots Music" while WSCA's Shawn Henderson (Portsmouth, NH) dubbed hollow bones in monotone "the best folk record of 2007".
