CLAYTON BRYANT

Brooklyn, NY

about +
If indeed, as William Shakespeare once mused, “All the world’s a stage”, then Clayton Bryant was uniquely born to command the spotlight of the world.

Even those born for greatness still require nurturing and molding though. To that end, Clayton Bryant was groomed by the best that contemporary music has to offer. His list of personal tutors reads like a “who’s-who” of Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame royalty: Pop/Rock icon Darlene Love, the late, great Luther Vandross, Roger Daltrey (lead singer of “The Who”), and legendary singer/songwriter couple Ashford & Simpson. One could not ask for better training – in OR outside of entertainment.

Clayton’s vocal range has the ability to tear into the depths of the audience’s soul while simultaneously elevating their collective hopes and dreams as if they were truly his own. Simply put, he connects. Thunderous and distinctive, his vocals are a seamless blend of classic R&B;, pop, rock and gospel.

No stranger to the stage, Clayton has been performing and touring for over 16 years, attending such venerable schools and programs as Talent Unlimited High School, the Boys Choir of Harlem and NYCHA Youth Chorus. To date, one of Clayton’s biggest thrills was that of being featured as a choir member and a featured vocalist for the British Rock Symphony Tour in 1998. That event proved so nice that Clayton had to come back twice and he returned alongside Darlene Love in 2000. Always interested in giving back to the community, Clayton has also eagerly contributed as a performer to VH-1’s Save the Music Foundation for Music Education.

Early accomplishments have not made Clayton complacent; in fact they have only added fuel to his fiery passion for music. Recently, Clayton has continued to perform around the country at impressive venues such as, but not limited to, Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, The Apollo Theater, Foxwood’s Hotel & Casino, Mohegan Sun and Ashford & Simpson’s Sugar Bar. Clayton is the consummate professional and has recorded and/or performed with artists covering the entire spectrum of popular music such as Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Luther Vandross, Ivan Hampden, Queen Latifah, Fantasia, Chaka Khan, Deborah Cox, Meli’sa Morgan, Michael Bolton, Jewel, Babyface, Kenny Rogers, Stephanie Mills, Freddie Jackson, the late Gerald Levert, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick and Cissy Houston to name only a few. Currently, Clayton is recording and touring with Darlene Love, Ashford & Simpson and as a member of Elder Harry Thompson & Divine Favor. Additionally, Clayton has lent his amazing multi-octave range to new recordings for Multi-Grammy Winner Ralph MacDonald for his latest CD “Mixty Motions” and Ashford & Simpson’s Live Concert DVD respectively.

In the midst of all of this, Clayton is also hard at work preparing his debut offering entitled “HizStory”. “HizStory” will highlight Clayton’s musical experience, piercing notes, magnetic melodies and his ability to interpret classic standards in a fresh and exciting way. Clayton’s talent knows no bounds nor does his music. This is one performer on the world’s stage that is undoubtedly worth the price of admission.
