So, tonight I had a gig with my band for what feels like the first time in forever. We braved the ice rink roads, and played a show that wasn't half bad.

Then I came home and unloaded the gear, and my wife Rachael logs on to thesixtyone and tells me that not only is "I'm Only Sleeping" still on the front page, It has reached over 400 bumps! Wow!

It was already a pretty good night, but hearing that people are digging the cover so much is just the proverbial icing on the cake. You bumped the song. You helped to make this happen.

I guess I don't know anything about amazonMP3, so I suppose there could be problems there. It seems though that if people were bumping my song way up there I'd make a bit of a priority on getting it purchasable fast while there is momentum for it...

True. Why doesn't everyone at least let you buy their songs, if not download for free? Maybe it's too much of a hassle or it costs money to get your music on AmazonMP3 or something. Oh well - you're right, I'm content with using this site to listen to the music. I've been hooking my laptop up to my home theater and playing my playlists at home when we have people over. Works for me.

I'm on a bit of a tight budget right now, so I'm content to just leach free music for now, but eventually I am definitely planning on buying some of these tracks. The irritating thing for me is when I want to buy one and they don't give you a way to, of course, this is offset by the times when I want to buy one and then notice I can just download for free :D

I just bought The National's album Boxer. Overall, it's pretty good. I'm grabbing Band of Horses next. Have you seen that new Ford Edge commercial where the girl is looking up through the moonroof and her friends call her from outside the vehicle and ask her if she's coming?
