===>>> Styl'D

Three Color Theory songs will be featured on the MTV series Styl’D:

Episode #103 “The Comeback Kid” – featuring “Zero Crossing” and “Behind the Rhine”

I was told the airdate is 11/15/09, but my listings show it premiering on 11/17/09 at 11:00 pm.

Episode #107 – scheduled for 12/13/09, featuring “Our Shadow”

I hope I won’t be the only one watching, learning, and sharing fashion tips!

===>>> BeatRider 1.2

BeatRider 1.2 for the iPhone and iPod Touch is now available at the iTunes App Store. BeatRider is a rhythm game similar to Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and Tap Tap Revenge. As far as I know, it’s the only one that lets you to play with any mp3 in your collection. Several free tracks are available within the game, including seven by Color Theory. You don’t need to buy the full version to play my songs, so give the free “lite” version a shot!

biography
I've always been a computer geek, but I started music lessons at the relatively late age of 13. I grew up on a steady diet of Depeche Mode and classical piano. My music combines those two great loves.

I'm occasionally asked if Brian Hazard is my real name (it is), because it sounds like a stage name. It would've made perfect sense to record under my given name, but a friend of mine had a class at design school called Color Theory 101. I thought it sounded cool, probably because I made a subconscious connection to Depeche Mode's 101.

My music is powerless without you listening, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you. -Brian

You're welcome. I sent the link to the song to my husband because it reminds me so of a moment we had before we were married in the middle of the night under a lamp post... when I really thought that first kiss was coming... but it didn't... :) ha ha...

Who among us couldn't use a few fashion tips?

Haha, I don't blame him. I can't solve most of the puzzles without using some combination of rope, baseball, flamethrower and pterodactyl. I feel like I need a PHD in linguistics or something.

Anyway, thank you for your music! Expect more hearts from me in the coming days as I get them.

yes!

that is a perfect example. plus, the song and the band name are unbelievably mismatched. "We'll take these folk-duet harmonies to the fucking EXTREME!!!"
that song was not great to listen to, but a lot of fun to sing to. i can't even lie.

what a good sport.

i know what its like to make a track you're not in love with but other people enjoy. its a tough balance, but at the end of the day, i guess you have to deliver what your audience wants. i can't think of any specific bands who are awesome, have one shitty song which blows the fuck up, are stuck with that embarassing success for all time, but there must be about a hundred or so.

happy tuesday!

I Should Have Kissed You is so poignant and your vocals are so beautiful as always but especially in this one! And there is nothing wrong with a good pop song!

Your music is amazing and you're ridiculously talented. The tip credits were but a small token. If I had more to give, I certainly would. - Karen

Hey thank you for your music and for your excellent tutorial for the artists. I've been spreading it without even saying thank you for it. Sorry, my apologizes. And your music is just amazing. :)
